The broken clip was indeed the problem. After fixing that, my PC is alive again. The lesson to be learned from this is that their shouldnt be any gap between the heatsink and the processor(Not even 0.1mm).The heatsink should tightly be mounted over the processor.If it's not the processor will shutdown your PC.
