Windows XP will have DirectX 10!
    « on: October 16, 2006, 11:02:21 PM »
Windows XP will be getting DX10, or what it will be called in XP - DX9.0L, wich is a renamed and refurbished DX10.  :D

This is DX10 with at least most of the features that DX10 on Vista will have, but since its a software rendition, it will take more out of ur PC.  :-/

So DX10 for vista will give u more performance, but it will cost 250$ to upgrade to Vista. In any case, this is a great thing for XP users!

Only draw back is the mainstream DX10 cards will be ready in late spring at the very best, so anyone who wants to enjoy DX10.. or DX9.0L will have to spend 500$+ on one of the upcoming high-end DX10 graphics cards, wether it be the R600 or G80 based cards. But for some of us, thats not a problem.  ;D
