If this came free with a PC Magazine you could try to look them up on the web or buy a recent copy and see if you can find contact info for them and see if they know the name of the software.

I agree. If the program came with a magazine, I highly doubt it would also be on a Windows disk. The sound tools provided with Windows are fairly limited and basic. You should be asking the mag about this, not MS.
