DDoS Attack.

Hello ComperHope,

My friend is in urgent need of help.
For over 24 Hours now, his Shell has been DDoSed and still is being now.
His Shell is containing his IRCd and WebServer, they are both timeing out when anyone trys to connect.
He can't get access through remote assistance or LogMeIn due to the DDoS.

Is there anyway we can stop this DDoS and help prevent them in the future ?

Not anywhere near enough info.  Is there a router/firewall involved here?  What variety?  Please provide much more information about the equipment and software we're dealing with.
