Pinnacle Studio 9 crashes at rendering DVD

I have plenty of RAM and processing speed. This happens some times, and not at other times.  I've tried restarting computer. I've tried taking out the particular movie clip that seems to be where the crash is happening.  I've very frustrated... you go to all this work on editing a video and then you can't finish it!

Ideas?

How much free space is on that HDD ? ?
I would run the HDD diagnostics from the HDD manuf. site.

It could also be power related as video editing tasks are intensive.
What make and size is the PSU ? ?
