Got 256 RAM, only recognising 64Mb!
« on: April 01, 2004, 06:39:20 PM »
I 've built my first PC using two others. The memory came with the board. There are three slots, two of which have 128Mb RAM each. My old PC which I'm using the hard drive from only had 64Mb. It's telling me I still only have 64Mb. How can I fix this? Any help would be appreciated for a newbie like me! Thanks.

You don't mention what type of RAM the boards can take, if you are mixing two different type of RAM one lot may not work.  I may also be that an old motherboard has a limit on the capacity and speed of the RAM.

    I hope this info helps
