Printer Connection
« on: November 19, 2006, 06:03:49 AM »
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I want to be able to print over a wireless network, from my wireless laptop.
I normally have my laptop on the kitchen table when in use, and the printer is in my office. It is a HP PSC 2110 printer. Is only has a USB cable, which I plug into a port when I need to print. I alos have a desktop right next to the printer, but this is primarily for family use. Could I plug the printer into this PC and access the printer from my laptop in the kitchen? Or can I buy a piece of hardware to connect my USB printer to the wireless hub to print?

Ensure that file and printer sharing is turned on.  Right click on the printer on your main PC and choose "sharing".

Then on your laptop, add new printer-->from network.

For more detailed instructions, google for "printer sharing".
Only able to visit the forums sporadically, sorry.
