the missing driver

bought a used laptop.
Dell   product key: latitude
         product model: D610

PCI Small Controller     under Other Device  driver is missing.
How to find out pls.
Which driver to download and install pls?
Network/Modem/???????

All of the drivers for any Dell are available at their website, and these are the only ones that should be used. Use the link that Street1 gave you.  ;)

I dont know whate device to download for
the driver 'PCI Simple communicaton Controller"  under other device in my Device Manager.
It that relater with the device  network/modem/IDE controller ???????
What device to download from that link pls.

It is a modem driver. If you see a modem listed in device manager delete it as well as this one. Reboot and see if that fixes it. Post back your results.
