    « on: April 23, 2008, 10:46:58 AM »
    Hi All,
I really need help!! Yesterday my wireless started playing up and i got cut off a few times, then yesterday it cut me off for ages, I've checked that the wireless is on and it is working as my brothers laptop can get online, but for some reason mine won't, any suggestions?!

You may try another wireless card. You may try to see if you can connect the laptops in an "ad-hoc" configuration (try to connect the laptops with ad-hoc mode first).
What do you mean by "your brother laptop can go online" and your doesn't?

What is the content of the file ipcfg.txt (obtained like that: Start->run->ipconfig /all >c:\ipcfg.txt) from both your brother's laptop and yours?

Simpler terms...  If we only knew how...  Which part?  Ad-hoc or ipconfig?

An "ad-hoc" configuration permits wireless communication without an "access point".

Thank you dahlarbear (I didn't had time for answering her at the right time).

I suppose the wondermichelle uses a wireless router. Michelle, could you please restart the router (unplug the power cord, keep unpluged for 20-30 seconds, reconect the power cord to the router) and see if the problem is still there?
Have you made the part with ip settings? (ipconfig /all)
