win 98 internet explorer problem
« on: September 29, 2004, 07:38:31 AM »
I have downloaded all of the MS updates for Win 98 and am using the latest IE 6.XXX.

When online, using a dial-up connection, and try to use the "REPLY" function in my email programs, which are Yahoo and Hotmail, a window pops up saying that there is a problem with "ddhelp" and when trying to close that window, another pops up stating that "there is a problem with IE and it will have to close" and then the MS error reporting window pops up stating that it is reporting the problem to MS.....Then I am disconnected from IE and have to restart my computer.  Also, I have the Incredimail program loaded as well and like it very much, as it is the only one that "usually" works.

Any ideas for solving this problem and has anyone else experienced the same and cured it?

Thanks, in advance.

Probably IncrediMail is the culprit but as they offer no support it is impossible to tell without un-installing IncrediMail and seeing if that solves the problem.

Is your IncrediMail program fully updated?

If you want an alternative Browser and Email program that do work try using Mozilla's free Firefox Browser and Thunderbird Email programs.
