DRM Again!
« on: December 21, 2006, 07:55:59 AM »
Digital Rights Management causes too much pain for legitimate buyers.
Music sold with non-iTunes DRM, such as PlaysForSure or the new Zune format, can't be copied to an iPod unless the DRM is stripped...
So the question is: have you checked out any soft stripping drm? I've only seen Soundtaxi demo, trying to proove it's absolutely legal to record the audio signal while playing tracks. Take a look at Drm removal software section there. http://www.movietaxi.biz/  Well... any thoughts?
Regards!

I totally agree there.
I'll stick with my Rio for an MP3 player, and do my best to avoid Micro$oft.
Speaking of which, I really need to test those Linux LiveCDs . . .
Things just keep getting in the way.
@ OP - I think "de-drming" a file is illegal, ie stripping DRM from it.
