Did the sound card come with the computer or did you install a different one yourself?  Most likely you want to get rid of the one that came with your computer and install a new one.  Anyways, you have to go into your CMOS settings when your computer boots...it should tell you what button to press to enter this...and then disable your card.

Ok Thanks for your information....Is there anyway to set the volume settings constant?

The volume settings should be in your control pannel and they should automatically be on...if it is not working, I found that I needed to download the lastest windows updates before I could get my speakers to work.
