If it is wireless, make sure it has a good view of the receiver. Have you tried another keyboard, or this keyboard on another computer?
Please do not type in capitals.

I assumed that it caused the Caps Lock key to stick as well.

:-? Thank you, but it was not the batterys, but I did contact HP and downloaded (HP Multimedia Keyboard/Mouse Driver Update - sp26752).This issue occurs when Microsoft update MS06-015 is installed. Everything seem to be working fine now. Please use this in case someone else has this problem. I hope this does help since  you have helped me so much. :D

:-? I never had a problem with the keys locking, just typing the wrong characters. I use caps because changing back and forth sem to cause the problem. Yes now I can use both. ;D

      Hi ChiChi,  :D

Sometimes worms or viruses results in things like this.

I recommend you to do a virus check for your PC.

Or , reformat and reinstall your Operating System

ChiChi has already solved this issue and it was due to a microsoft update MS06-015. ;)
