Problem after I installed a Wireless Card
« on: December 31, 2006, 02:01:13 PM »
I installed a wireless card on my friends mothers computer. It was a D Link X Treme Wireless Adapter. After I installed the network card the computer would boot to the Windows XP boot screen then reboot, it only boots into safe mode. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

The computer is a Gateway 825GM it has a gig of RAM, a 250 gig HDD, and ATI Radeon Graphics Card.

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Dodgy drivers.  Uninstall them, then visit the manufacturer's website for the latest updates.

It was bad drivers, they were installed when the computer was originally made. I put a fresh copy of Windows and re downloaded all the drivers off Gateways site. It works just fine now. Thank you.
