Can I load XP home over XP Pro?

I want to transfer my files from an XP Pro corporate machine to my XP home  machine  using the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista  but I don't have the required service pack 2 on my XP Pro machine.

Can I load XP home over XP Pro ?

Why no Service Pack 2 ? ?

If you are stuck with a slow web connection you can order the CD from the Mothership...

What files are involved and how m,any? Can these not be just backed up to a CD or transferred across a network?

Like Patio asked, why no SP2?
