Network Inventory
« on: January 09, 2007, 04:09:07 PM »
I'm trying to find a nice, fairly cheap Network Inventory program to use on my network so that I may find tons of information, including (this is a must), but not limited to by no means:

-Operating System
-OS License Key
-Computer Name
-Computer Owner

-Mother Board Make & Manufacturer
-Memory Type
-Memory Slots (Particularly how many occupied, but preferably how many free as well)
-Processor Make, Manufacture, and Speed
-Graphics Card Make & Manufacture
-Sound Card Make & Manufacture

-HDD and other IDE components (CD Roms, DVD, etc...)

-All Installed Programs & their License Numbers

OPTIONAL, but would be great:
The actual Computer Make & Model

I know the price can be pretty hefty but definitely nothing over a thousand dollars.  I found a program called Remote System Information that can do most of this for about $250 and a range like that or even a little more will be fine.  The only thing about Remote System Information is that it will not  tell me the Memory Type & the Memory Slot Information.

I did google this and am about googled out over it.. if anyone wants to give it a try or knows anything, please let me know.  Thanks!

Check out >Spiceworks<.  For free software, it is absolutely phenomenal.

Other free software that may interest you:

>Advanced Remote Info< (if you research this tool on the internet, don't be put off by the warnings about this program's abilities - in the hands of a network administrator, this is an excellent tool)
Look@LAN
LanSpy

Who needs commercial programs?!  ;D
Only able to visit the forums sporadically, sorry.
