Video playback problem
« on: January 12, 2007, 09:05:24 AM »
Hi there,

BAsically I have a problem playing back the majority of my video files. All my audio tracks are fine and a minority of video tracks play but most just cause winamp / wmp / mpc to crash. This was a spontaneous problem. Anyone know what this is about? Or know a way around it?

Have reinstalled all ofthe above programmes and the codecs too (not that I thought it would mke any difference). Virus scan done.

Using Windows XP.

Have you tried updating your sound card drivers and video drivers?
What happens when you try to play them back, do you get an error message?
What happened before this started?
What format of video files play and don't play?
What protection do you have, other than AV?  What is your AV?
What OS is this?
