IBM Thinkpad keyboard problem!
« on: February 13, 2007, 12:49:56 PM »
I am unable to use two keys on my IBM Thinkpad r40 keyboard (the spacebar and "b" key). The keybard is completely clean and nothing is obstructing the keys. I have tried reseating the keyboard and also cleaning the keys with rubbing alcohol. Neither fixed the problem.

Do you have any suggestions to fix the keys? Would purchasing a new keyboard solve the problem? Or is the problem internal?

Thank you! ;D

IF everything is seated correctly and it made no difference after the cleaning a new keyboard is the next step. I had an old Dell Latitude with the same problem and I was sorry I waited too long to do the obvious. It works great now.  ;)
