changing hard drive
« on: March 13, 2007, 05:22:55 AM »
i have fitted a bigger hard drive. i am trying to copy from my existing seagate 120 gb to a seagate 320gb & then remove the original. the original had two partitions which i have copied using norton ghost.when i try to start my pc with the new hard drive i get No boot drive detected. Insert system disk and press F1 or F2 to setup menu. i dont know what a system disk is or what to do in the setup menu. Many thanks an advance. Gary

Why not just use the drive manuf. utilities to "clone" the old HDD to the new one ? ?
This is the simplest method out there...
