Change Display

i recently had to take my computer for a powerpoint presentation. i hooked it up to my teachers projector and it wouldn't work. i held fn(function key) and pressed f4 twice. The screen is now blown up. Everything is really BIG. does anyone know how to fix this? i have a sony vaio with windows vista.

Right click on an empty area of the desktop and select properties. You can change the resolution there.

I tried that but I do not know what to do. Can you walk me through it?

After selecting Properties a window will come up with 4 or 5 tabs on it ...the first one for example is your Desktop settings where you can change  which image your desktop shows as a background.
Select the Tab that says Settings...in the lower right corner will be a slide bar...move it to 1024X768 reboot and see if this is any better...
