What I would like to get is one of those Zunes, rather than an iPod...
(Not an iPod fan here, but if I could get one for free, I would take it!)

Don't you think April poll is too weak comparing with other ones?  E.g. March Poll 1184 votes. What is the reason?
Actually the reason is that unfortunately SMF (the new forum system) does not allow guest votes. So anyone attempting to vote from the main Computer Hope main page cannot vote unless they're a member of the forum. I think any person including guests should be able to vote for the monthly polls, but everything I've read so far indicates it's not possible.

I've got an iPod Shuffle, but I use it mainly for backing up and transferring files.  I can't listen to it in my car, so it's pretty pointless.

30GB iPod ... 80GB iPod ... oh, my goodness.  I've got a 256MB Creative MuVo TXFM and I like the little rascal.   :)

How much does having a hard drive bring down the battery life? I think I would rather have a 4GB MP3 player and a good battery life instead of 30GB of unused memory and a bad battery life. (But I belive it works like an Antiskip MP3/CD player with read ahead and memory)

Same here, flash memory really uses a lot less power than a HDD.
I have a HDD player anyway, it was on special offer, but I think my next purchase will be flash - not only for the battery life but because it can be smaller.
Plus, I only need maybe 4Gb of storage, which is now pretty cheap, especially compared with how expensive it was a few years ago.

    Very true

$20 for a 2GB flash drive? Thats nothing like it was just two years ago. Who would pay $54 for one of those now?
(And some places you can just keep getting them cheaper and cheaper)

China? (I have a relative that lives there!)
I had no idea you were from there.

I guess since China exports lots of goods, without the high price inflations from stores and without shipping, it would be a LOT cheaper.
(Now I want to live there!)

Is the American dollar worth more than the exchanged currency?

No tape deck or CD player or...well, anything.  The radio doesn't even work.  I tend to drive my grandma's car, which has a CD player, but there's no way I'm shelling out money for an iTrip.

I use my 128MB GPX Music Stick... it's small, but it does the job
I lost the USB plug cover and the battery cover, plus part of the play button fell off ;D
      But it still works
