window's official wallpaper folder QUESTION
« on: April 06, 2007, 09:13:01 PM »
i have win XP sp2:

in my desktop's 'display properites' on the desktop tab (where one changes wallpaper)

whats..or rather where is the folder where windows is opening that menu , from.

because i want to be able to delete the default wallpapers from there, and be able to pick my custom wallpapers from 'that' menu, instead of having to manually look 4 the pic and having to R.click it and set it up that way.

PRprince .....I think, if you navigate to.......
C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper     you will find them there.

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

There's another way.  When you open Display Properties, Desktop, click on the Browse button.  Then, you can navigate to any folder and select images/photos.  This could include all the images in a folder, such as My Pictures.

Better yet, go to the folder with the pictures, double-click on them (which should open up the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer), right click the picture in the viewer window, and select Set as Desktop Background.

I think that's what he was trying to get away from.  From his post:

... be able to pick my custom wallpapers from 'that' menu, instead of having to manually look 4 the pic and having to R.click it and set it up that way.

    It's a sub-folder within the Windows folder.
