OUTLOOK 2000 ALWAYS WANTS EXTERNAL FILE
« on: April 12, 2007, 02:36:42 AM »
Outlook 2000 on XP Professional.
When starting up it and without my external drive connected it gives error message:
Personal Folders
The path specified for the file e:\sent020207.pst is not valid.

Some time ago I exported my 'Sent Items' to e:\sent020207.pst so as to transfer them to another PC and that worked fine.
However, I do not want the e:\sent020207.pst file or the need to always have the external e: drive always plugged in.
How do I reset Outlook 2000 to stop this?

Go to control panel -> Mail

There do you find any .pst pointing to E: in personal folders.
    Remove it.
