Yeah, if you have that enabled, if you write
    dear,
and press enter, the paper clip says "hey, it looks like you're writing a letter"

Hey! It looks like your reading my post  :D

    This is always good:

(I cannot verify that link, since their server is experiencing difficulties)
BTW: Symantec will detect it as a PUP application, and may attempt to remove it.

Finally, someone's done what we've all fantasized about for years: killing the paper clip!

Incidentally, I don't have paper clip on my Word, I've got a Red Blob

    I like that.
    I use OpenOffice.org, though.

    Same.
    Mainly because of the paperclip.
If it would just leave me alone . . .
At school, they've disabled disabling it, so it's just there and annoying me all the time.
Which is why I thank my lucky stars that I am blessed with portable OpenOffice.

Eh, just disable it.  Kill the Office Paperclip!

I have Office 2003 and I don't recall ever seeing it; so, I believe it was not part of Office 2003.  Ah, wait, I see it is part of Office 2003, per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clippy, but, apparently, I either disabled it or elected not to install it in the first place.  I don't remember.

Microsoft did not put it in Office 2007.

Just disable the thing that they use to keep you from disabling it!
    (I know I would... )

No, just a standard flash drive.

It's not worth it now, I have like 6 weeks left and then I'm out of there.
    Plus, I prefer OpenOffice.

It's not so simple to disable it, especially not that way as we're all very limited users (some more than others . . . )
It is part of Office 2003, that's what school has.
I know you already said that but that's not the point.
