The weather
« on: April 17, 2007, 06:48:32 AM »
About 20 minutes ago, the weather was calm and peacful and then it went from calm to massive wind and rain. I went downstairs with my camera and stood in the open. It is so cool out with the strong wind and rain. I live in a 24 story high building and on the 16th floor they were doing renovations and they had bamboo and stuff hanging off the edge of the building and it collapsed on the road in front of my building.
I also went to the roof and its too crazy up there. Like a hurricane or typhoon or whatever but it isnt.
I have videos but it is 8Pm here so its hard to see.

EDIT: Half an hour after that heavy rain and wind it was calm again. but the temperature dropped 10 degrees

Anyone else got weird weather stories to share like tornados or hurricanes or something?

It was one of the warmest April days ever recorded yesterday and the days before that where I live.

I went from lovely warm sunshine to howling wind, driving rain and lightning.
Had to shelter for about an hour in a bus shelter when my bike decided to die (handlebars came off).
Never seen anything like it in the UK.

Global Warming, what are you talking about, it's been cold over here since mid November, and now it's in the middle of April, which is strange. I live in Texas, which is strange, it's usually scorching hot

Weather was really good today here really wanted to go golfing. However, as far as strange weather stories don't really have any myself. Been through some freakish snow storms but in Utah it happens every few years so not totally out of the norm.

Depending on what you believe in or who you believe it's likely Global Warming is already happening and has been happening during your life time. Take a look at the pictures in this this article about shrinking glaciers.

There was one thing about Global Warming, as you recall, Honvetops said: "We dont have a solution"

And as soon as they come out with a good one, then I will care.

Other than that, I think I can let it go for now. I dont have a car, so I dont do any dammage
