    Networking with Vista.
    « on: May 03, 2007, 11:24:38 AM »
I  have created a workgroup for all our home PC's.
comp1: Windows XP prof (SP2) WORKGROUP My laptop.
comp2: Windows XP prof (SP2) WORKGROUP Notebook
comp3: Windows XP prof (SP2) other workgroup Laptop
comp4: Windows Vista home premium no workgroup Laptop
    Its a wireless network.
Everything works on the XP computers but Windows vista doesn't have the tap for entire network.
It also doesn't want to accept the sharing of the printer on the notebook.
We can access his files and printers but he can't access oures.
I think its because of our firewall. The 3 XP computers have Windows Onecare firewall but I edit the firewall to allow Windows Vista and printer sharing.
And I can't find the MAC address of his Wireless card it used to be under Apparaatbeheer>Netwerkadaptors>Details but it isn't specified in Vista.
Is the a code you can type in DOS sow you can see the MAC address?

    Thanks in advance

    Jonas

I suggest a moderator move this to the Networking section.

I found the MAC address by using the GETMAC command in cmd but the rest I can't seem to work out.
