So..... What's the difference between AVG and AVG free?

...You don't pay for the free one, and you don't get the extra bits with the free one.

Check out the AVG site.  ...Google it, I'm lazy.

It's like the difference between beer that you pay for and free beer

      · AVG Free Edition does not offer advanced testing options, such as automatic healing, password-protected archives reporting, adjustment of scan process priority and many others.

Ok...I'm sorry it took so long to reply, I haven't been home for a few days.

I added the Superantispyware and the AVG free edition. It cleaned out a lot of spyware (no viruses) but I have a trojan and I'm not sure how to get rid of it. Also, I suppose my computer is running better...but the things that disappeared are still gone. Is that permanent?

Thanks for that help you guys.......(by the way)

AVG Anti-Spyware is designed to remove trojans...it's a different program than AVG Free.

How did you determine you have a trojan ? ?

I did a scan and it said I had "one threat" which was a trojan. I guess I should get AVG Anti-Spyware

EDIT: Ok nevermind, I remember now. I tried to get AVG Anti-Spyware and it said I needed Windows 2000 or higher, so it wouldn't let me download it. So I ended up with superantispyware.
