Need a new gaming pad
« on: June 21, 2007, 01:44:28 PM »
I used to have a Logitech gaming pad but then it started to go weird with the left analog stick, then I got a Thrustmaster(the red one with the rumble) and it worked great last year but then the left analog stick is now going bad too.

Basically, with both my Thrustmaster and Logitech gamepads, the analog stick is acting like this.

I press left on the left stick and my player character(in all my games too) will snap right, then move left. If I hold it to the left and release, he/she will snap to the right. Same with up, press it, character will snap down, then move up. Release up, player will snap down for 1 second. Same thing if at the gamepad test application, the little cross thing will snap down/right when pressing left/up.

I even updated my drivers and that still doesn't fix the issue.

It might just be something with the game. Can you uninstall it and reinstall it? Or are you too far advanced in the game to do that? It may just be two deffective gamepads.... kinda unlikely though. Logitech's usually an awesome namebrand. How long does it take the character to turn left after snapping right?
If you hear beans rattling....... that means I'm thinking.

Only about a second when you press left/up. They just turn to the right/down and then turn and move left/up after pressing left/up.

Umm, anyone got anymore recommendations? I don't want to buy that same controller again because they all could be like that for all I know and thats why I don't want to buy a 2nd one of those Thrustmasters.

I have really had good luck with Saitek's controllers they are super comfortable and seem to work very well.  I do not recommend the wireless it would cut out on me once in a while and get me killt
