4:3 ratio on a widescreen, help pls

guys help pls, anyone here know how to run warcraft III or starcraft, or any game in 4:3 ratio on a widescreen?
i have Nvidia Geforce go 7600 graphics card.. tnx,

and can the nvidia control panel be updated?. cause i tried the nvidia help page and i dont have most of the options its talking about..  help would be greatly appreciated.. ^^

I don't know anything about Warcraft...

However...you can usually find updates to your video hardware from the manufacturer or go to Windows Update to see if there are any hardware downloads that match what you have installed in your computer.

i tried looking through nvidia but they dont have the geforce go 7series category for some reason so im kinda confused.. btw im using vista os on a laptop.. it still dont get how some people can play games in native 4:3 on a widescreen laptop.. i hate playing it stretched id rather have black bars at the sides..

install the UDC  program, it  "should"  run like an open app on your puter and give you an updated 7 series driver if it is available*   good luck

edit: UDC-Update checker? tried it, didnt even detect nvidia it detected daemon tools and windows media player, etc though..

when you installed this  graphics card,  did you notice if it was ever recognized ?

did you enable the pci-e  slot in your bios on the initial installation ?

Revised*  7-1-07  if that was store bought (laptop)*  and already setup with installed video card..
                             I guess I will sit back , this is beyond me....

yup its recognized, its a laptop, and i didnt build it, it came ready..

so guys, any idea how to play game in 4:3 ratio on a widescreen?. man i hate stretched images, it looks weird ='(.. im at a  loss here i tried google  and stuff but i couldnt find anything..

whats weird is my bro did it with his xp laptop which is way older than mine, inferior in ram, processor, graphics card, if his laptop can do it shouldnt mine be able to?
when he plays starcraft theres just this black bars at the side, so it plays in 4:3 on a his 16:9, he doesnt know how he did it though.. ='(

Try going to control panel and then to screen resolution (its in display, then settings). From there theres a button "advanced".

Try messing around in there, but specifically there should be a driver tab at the top for your graphics card and I believe in there lies an option to change to the setting you want.

sounds good but unfortunately..... i tried that already.. didnt work. 
went through nvidia control panel and all.. i looked it up and turns out nvidia isnt that good with Vista so maybe thats why...

Really? My laptop has a nvidia graphics card and I can get a 4:3 ratio for games.

..Not sure what setting it is since it does it automatically for my games, but fact is it should be able to do it.

REALLY?!!!!! Vista OS?. You sure?. yay hope restored, i just gave up on it cause i was researching about it for like 5 days, tried posting for help in 4 forums and all, and noone new.. guess its back to searching, can you try changing some of your settings to see which affects which?. just try remembering things you change so if anything weird happens you can just change it back ^^.
