1A A VERY BIG PROBLEM

 :'(WHEN I TRIED TO USE THE COMMAND OPEN WITH>CHOOSE PROGRAM... ON any OF MY APPLICATIONS A NOTEPAD POPPED UP AND IT comes up with some code! help

That post needs editing as it is making the page far too wide.

What happened is you chose to open a photo from your
Canon camera, with Notepad.

Why did you do that?

Also, please do not type all in capitals, it is rude.

NO i did not open  it with notepad when i click on openwith>chooseprogram the notepad appears not choose program! OMG

So when i just click on it nothing popps up and i want my image viewer to pop up so how do i change that stupid notepad thing into choose program!

    Virus protection - Avg free editon(updated)

    no i didnt install any new programs.
    is there a way to change programopening without going into choose progra(i mean like saving the open with)

    To me, it sounds like your system is associating Notepad with your image files.  Thus when you double click on an image file,  WinXP loads it into Notepad.
    You need to change that file association.    I assume you want to associate your image files with some image viewer program,  not Notepad.

    Sorry,  I don't have XP, so I can't step you through it.     I'm commenting only because it looks like a couple of the above responses didn't catch on that all you need is to change your file association -  and perhaps now somebody that does have XP will jump in here.

    Find an image file in Windows Elplorer.
    Right clik it and select "Open With"
    Scroll to the proper program and highloght it.
    Check the box at the bottom stating " Always use this program"
    " Anyone who goes to a psychiatrist should have his head examined. "

    ok il tell u the hole thing of whats happening

    when i double click an image - i dont get anything!
    when i select choose program to change it the "choose program Box" doesnt pop up only a notepad pops up with a code of the image i think

    all i want to know is how can i change this and is there any way i dont have to use choose program to change tihs!!!

    Are you right clicking the files, or are you using the "open with" option on the Windows Explorer "file" menu?
