My NOTE PAD program is gone!!

How to restore back my note pad program because each time i try to open the program the windows error pops-up telling that the 16 bit windows error or something like that.

Please help!!!

    Go to start > run > type notepad
    what happens?

    owh..it's all right now.

    i performed the roll-over (system restore) and everything is back to normal.

    Anyway, thanks to all of you guys for kind response.

    My computer is also missing notepad, wordpad, and paint.  i am running windows xp home with sp2

      Type notepad in the run box. If it works, you still have it, just not the shortcut.
