98se - XP compatability
« on: September 10, 2007, 08:51:10 AM »
Hi guys
Hopefully you can help me I’m running windows 98se and thinking of upgrading.
The main problem I have is a program called TIMES FAMILY TREE this program was designed for windows 95/98 and ive tried to install it on my laptop which runs XP but it won’t work.
It’s taken me 10 years to gather all the information and compile it on my desktop pc and ive been told that I would “simple” have to install a newer version and input all 10 years of data again, surely this cant be the case??.
Can you tell me if there is a patch or something that I could use so that I could make my 95/98 copy of “times family tree” work with XP.

Regards
Keiron

have you tried running the program with the compatibility options?
Right click on the link and choose properties. Then go to the compatibility tab. From there it should be pretty self explanatory.
Good luck.
