Outlook 2000 display name inconsistency
« on: September 11, 2007, 01:16:25 PM »
When using the "New Message" icon, when I hit to: or cc:, the list of names that comes up from the contacts is willy-nilly first-last or last-first, that is, Billy Jones or Jones, Billy. Waste of time.
The contacts view in card or address, etc is consistent, but not when I use the New Message, to: route.

How do I regularize the display names so that they are all lastname, firstname?

If you check your contacts' properties...there should be a "Display" box...this is what is displayed when you receive or send an e-mail using the To: or CC: boxes.

You'll need to edit each contact in order for this to be consistent.
