Computer cannot detect flash drive
« on: September 25, 2007, 01:53:10 PM »
Hi there!

My flash drive cannot be viewed  when I insert it in the USB port. One can see its icon on the tool bar that it has been inserted but cannot be seen when I explore My Computer. I can only explore its contents when I do the following:

Right clicking My Computer
Clicking Manage
Clicking Storage
Clicking Disk management

After this I can access all the files in it as well as copying, cutting and pasting.

I don't like doing it this way, I want it to work the way it was working. It has just started recently to behave like this but on other computers it works normally. I think it is something to do with registry and I am not good at twiking with the registry.

Can anyone help out there?

Regards

Zakes

When you are in Disk Management how is it being reported ? ?
Right clik it and select Properties and report back with the info...
