To comply with Internet standards, your browser is configured to allow for only TWO simultaneous downloads. For users that do not frequently download, this value is probably sufficient. For those who frequently download, this may be a limitation. In such cases, you can increase the number of concurrent downloads to 10.

To do this, though, you need to edit your system’s Registry. Be sure to back up your Registry before you proceed with the following steps:

   1. Open the Start menu and type Registry Editor in the Search field.
   2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\INTERNET SETTINGS.
   3. Click Internet Settings.
   4. Right-click an empty area in the right pane, point to New, and click DWORD Value.
   5. Right-click New Value #1 and click Modify. In the Value Name field, type the name of the value: MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server. Type 10 in the Value Data field, select the Decimal radio button, and click OK.
   6. Create a second value using the previous steps. Name this value MaxConnectionsPerServer. Type 10 in the Value Data field, select the Decimal radio button, and click OK.
   7. Close the Registry Editor.

Note: You may have it set already to "10", so, double check it.
