Jonathon Bailey.....Does anyone other than yourself use that pc ?
Have you considered removing IE6 and then redowloading it again ?

If you open MSN messenger 6.2 directly from the all programs list instead of from IE.......will just the msn open up and have you tried signing in from there ?

Jonathon Bailey......Ok .....I just had a thought ......if you are certain you do not have any viruses ........let use the system restore and restore your pc back to just before the problems started ......to do this click start / All programs/Accessories/System Tools.....then select system restore  and set it restore to before the problem started .

yes, going back to the system restore might fix the problem but I use that as a last ditch effort....  I am an avid computer gamer and would lose some valuable things if that would happen...   im sure you understand.   :-/ ??? :o

That's a good point. Try changing security in the options menu.

Open up Port 433 on your firewall. That's the port that msn uses

it seems to be not just an msn problem, but email and shopping carts

ok jonathan - here is a step by step guide (2000 steps in total)

          just kidding... :D

If you want to activate specific ports, tell me what kind of firewall you are using, what program, ect.
