best specs?

what are the best processors out there? the newest is what i need. also can you guide me to the best RAMS and video cards, sound cards, motherboards.

Will any of those be the best option for you?  I don't know, but probably not.

It's really impossible to give out the best specs as everyone has their own opinion...(AMD/Intel especially)

However if you are looking for the best motherboard to date...I would wait a while, for the new boards called Skulltrail...Due to be released by Intel, these boards have 4x PCI-e 16x slots, up to 8GB of DDR2, and best of all...TWO slots for Intel quadcore CPU's!! (Thats 8 cores!!) :O

What do you look for in CPU to tell if its good or not?

I mean in terms of parameters.

The series is the main thing, for example Core 2 Duo, Pentium 4, Athlon X2.
The speed in GHz is important, and so is the FSB speed - the higher the better.
Finally, the cache is measured in Mb (the more the better) and the number of cores (1 core isn't so common nowadays, dual core seems to be the main standard, and quad core is becoming the standard for high end PCs).  If you're a heavy multitasker you should go for more cores.

While the QX6850 may be the "best" CPU right now, it's definitely NOT something you should be looking at.

Either the Q6600 or wait for the Q9450.

Overpriced for the performance.
Never ever choose the absolute top end of anything, because it's maybe 50% more expensive than it should be.

hey!!! i juz want you to release what you know coz i'm being curious about what's the best of the cutting edge (i mean best for gaming, music, video and evrythng) and you know guyz i'm thinkin of buying a computer that supports two games at once and two monitors (each for one),,, could you recomend some!

3x Nvidia GTX280
As many WD Raptor drives as possible in RAID 0
Sound card - not sure, maybe the Xonar
Some set of 7.1 surround speakers
G15 keyboard, G9 mouse
Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W PSU
As many DVDRW or Bluray drives as can be crammed in
Several large monitors

Total cost: probably over $20k

Whilst $ may not be an issue, the roar of fans and the fact that it would be made obsolete by something half the price a few weeks later may be a slight annoyance.
