Making a win98 floppy on an xp powered pc
« on: November 02, 2007, 07:29:09 AM »
I have an old pentium III which boots up from a win98 floppy only - I need to make a floppy by coppying my 98 CD rom on an xp powered pentium 4.
Sounds easy but I keep getting stuck -can anyone help? ::)

This page should have the boot disks you require. Take a trip over and you should be able to find the one you need on the site to download.

Cheers! Thankyou very much. The pc I was trying to fix was a Viglen p3 866 Contender which had its OS wiped. My xp had no floppy drive so I was making a cd on this, then copying to floppy on another pc, then trying to boot the viglen without much success. I'll try the different versions and let you know what happens. :)

Use the Win98SE with CDRom support for the best results...
