Windows Vista Blue Screen, Freezing Problems
« on: November 13, 2007, 03:13:26 PM »
Hello all, my laptop has been acting strange the past couple of days with it freezing once or twice and then today I received a blue screen telling me windows needs to shutdown causing my computer to restart itself. All my virus protection is up to date with quick scans ran daily and full system scans ran weekly. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank! I will attach my hijackthis log.

Your HJT log is clean, however I can't see any firewall running. Do you have your Windows firewall up?
Also, your Java is outdated (1.6.0), so you may want to update it: http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

I don't think, any of those are culprits of your problems, though. Did you try System Restore?

Any new hardware or software installed recently ? ?

Some more specifics on the machine would help as well...
