    Old dog\old trick  ;D

Here's a trick built into win98, but not other versions. If you try it and let it print to screen, use the | more command. If you wish to have a paper copy, make sure the printer is loaded. This will give you more info on your win98 machine than you thought possible. From a dos prompt type the command precisely.

    hwinfo /ui

    have fun. ;D

    Now I am curious:
    What does it do?
(My 98 computer has been decommissioned, due to my WOS (waste-of-space) code)

It will give you hardware and driver info that you thought you could not get from win98.

Make sure the printer is unplugged from the wall and the computer...
