Question about connection

Everytime I log off my internet provider, a message pops up stating that   funky.ifs-irc.net has requested information and needs to connect, which connection would I like to use. Can anyone tell me if this is spyware or what it is?

That is weard, I check out the site ifs-irc.net and it states its a IFS home page for "Independent Film Servers."  You might want to run spybot or ad-ware, and also a virus scan on your computer to see what you come up with...
