    My Ipod shuffle its not working when I plug in the UBS cord this it what it says,



    UBS device not recognized. I checked root and everything every time I put it thats what it says. It only happens with the ipod shuffle i have my printer in and everything and it works great but every time I try to put in the iPod shuffle USB to any of the USB on my computer it does not work.

    iPod: shuffle newer one clip ones.

    Trying to think... (my mind is loosing itself at the moment)

    Are you using a USB hub of any sort? (eg: a USB port built into your keyboard, or monitor, or a completely separate box that makes 5 USB ports out of one?)

    Do you have the evils of iTunes installed on your computer?

      No its my computer I have like 6 slots 4 in back 2 in front im using front one for iPod most of time than i tired the back and it still didnt work there is a update for iTunes but im not sure it will fix.

          have you tried updating your ipod software. i know it's unlikely that this is the problem, but you never know....

            Well I would but everytime I put it in it wont recognize it I updated my itunes and all.

              Have you tried plugging your shuffle into a different pc and seeing if the same error occurs?

              Have you tried bringing your iPod to the apple store?  They look at it at the Genius bar for free, and can tell you within 15 minutes what's wrong with it, and if it's fixable.

              You can sign up for appointments on whatever apple store you're going to's website.  go to apple.com/retail and do a search for your store
