The Prophylactic PC
« on: December 31, 2004, 07:51:58 PM »
Welcome to the New Year. Are you ready for the new invasion? I know I am.

My router firewall is in place, the Norton firewall is backing it up and of course the Windows firewall is doing what ever it does.

Norton AV is hunting down disease bearing viruses and AntiVir is tagging along in case stronger medicine is needed.

Ad-aware and Spybot are waiting in the wings, ready to spring into action. SpyBlaster and SpyGuard are silently watching my system for anything that moves. TDS3 sits on the desktop in case the big guns are needed.

If you ping me, I will ignore you (I could tell you I'm here but then I'd have to kill you). I am invisible on the internet, my ports are stealth  and  I use encryption on my wireless network.

I am well protected, and now I can go forth on the internet. I feel like I'm wearing a box of condoms and being told to have a good time.

A Safe And Happy New Year To You All

:D

OK -- I'm gonna get flamed for replying to such an old post, but with all the security stuff this person has going, I wonder if he (or she) can do anything of value with the resources that are left?

Not sure exactly what you're asking, but I spotted a few things.

Two firewalls? *GASP*

This doesn't mean his IP is hidden.

I was commenting more on the tone of the post -- like bragging.

I noted the two firewalls, and wondered about the rest...
