Networked computer can't connect to internet
« on: November 13, 2008, 11:31:53 AM »
I posted this subject on the WinXP forum and realized it probably should be here.

One of the computers on my home network will not connect to the internet. The other two connect with no problem. This happened with no warning or changes to the computer. I have run the network set up wizzard with no success. I ran a diagnostic through Internet Explorer. It indicated and problem with getting proxy settings with Automatic Proxy Configuration mechanism. It also said the default gateway entry is invalid but default gateway is same as on other computers. IPConfig /all says dhcp is not enabled but I have enabled.

Any ideas about trouble shooting this.

Thanks, Dave
