Can't install Firefox

I have tried numerous times to install Firefox but keeop getting the same message:
"Error opening file for writing: C:\ProgramFile\MozillaFirefox\uninstall\helper.exe"
Can anybody throw some light on this?

If you're upgrading, make sure all instances of Firefox are closed.

It goes into "Housekeeping" and then it gives me the message

    Are you upgrading a previous Firefox installation or have you never had it installed before?
