    waves on my monitor
    « on: January 31, 2008, 09:31:49 AM »
I have a very old CTX monitor. There's not even an idication on the model number. When I'm navigating programs [ most noticeable when I'm surfing the internet ], instead of going down the page smoothly, the graphics move in what i can only call waves. is this a monitor problem?  ???

    Thanks,
    joe

Do you have another monitor you could try?  It's difficult to make a determination without seeing it, but it could also be a video card or video driver issue.
Why is this thus?  What is the reason for this thusness?

fixed. the driver for my ancient card wasnt' installed correctly. it also allowed me to adjust the refresh which was out of whack.

          Thanks eg
