windows\system\lsolbste.e

found virus in windows\system\lsolbste.exe,  norton could not clean so i deleted file.

what does this file do?
Do i need it?
if i need it how can i get a clean file.  I cannt find my backup and the software came preloaded.

Go to another pc running Win98SE that is not infected and search for the file. If it's there, copy on floppy and paste on your pc. Not sure if you need it, but it doesn't look familiar. You may want to try Microsoft's website and do a search on their Knowledge Base to see if anything comes up. Also, go to Symantec's site and search for it as well. It could be a known file that needs to be deleted manually. Hope this helps.

    Unless your computer asks for it, I doubt you actually need it. I cannot find it on my computer.
