Diagnostics to test HD on Win98se

Hi All and thanks for the help today. I need to run diagnostics - read scan for errors, etc on a HD in Win98se. Is there a built in program to do that?

go to start, programs, accessories,syatem information, that will open up help & support, from there go to tools and open up file checker and scan you computer for missing files, if you need a file it will ask you to put win 98 in you cd to replace your missing file.
it works for me best of luck.
