That was a good post neljan, because it made me stop thinking about malwares. Computer is clean, so it must be something else.

I have a similar thing with the laptop, sometimes the shift key gets stuck...

Well actually i have tried disconnecting the keyboard the touch pad and the short cut keys with all of them disconnected the browser still pops up randomly and often.

I'm running out of options. Computer is definitively clean.
Do those pop-ups happen when you open Firefox, or even without opening it?

without opening it. i can turn it on and leave the room while it starts up. when i return 5 min later firefox (which is now my primary browser) open to my homepage about 12 times. in 12 different windows.

Reinstall.
