need help
« on: March 11, 2008, 11:53:40 AM »
I have  windows XP pro SP2- when i want to remove java(TM) 6 update 3 in order to replace it by another more updated java. Using Add/Remove installed Program to try to remove the program, it tells me if I'm sure I want to remove, I say yes, then it says preparing to remove, then suddenly it says Fatal Error during Installation. What should I do to get raid of this and be able to download a more updated one.
thanks

You can always install new one. Java doesn't overwrites itself, it installs next version alongside.
As for uninstalling old version, you may need to read here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us
